When we say that the nonprofit park support groups around the country are the glue that holds our crown jewels together, we mean that the work they do, the funds they provide, and the volunteers they supply to help their individual National Parks is often the reason the parks are still able to function and serve 300 million visitors while the crisis behind the scenes continues to get worse.
