There
Was Only One Way To Get The Money The Parks Needed
We needed to tell our elected representatives that
we wanted that 1% for the parks and that we want it
right away.
There
was
no more time to wait for the politicians to do the
right thing for the parks. No Senator or Member of
the House was willing to take the lead and secure the
funding our parks need for a healthy future. We know.
We asked.
The Voice Of The
People
As usual it was up to you and me, and all our friends
and families to stand up for the parks make and
save them. To be One For The Parks and to let our
elected representatives know we wanted 1% of the surplus
used to repair and protect our nations true
crown jewels.
Polls
show that 88% of Americans believe it's "Very
Important" to preserve our National Parks for
future generations. So in the pivotal election
year of 2000 it was time to remind the politicians in
Washington, and especially those running for President
of the United States.
Not
just with words - but with pictures of the magnificent
places we want saved.
