National Parks Catalog Brings Parks Home For The Holiday
Tigard, Oregon, - - November 8, 1999 (Xpress Press)- In this final holiday season of the 20th Century, when some of the hottest gifts boast digital powers, nanosecond speeds, and near virtual reality, only The Parks Company is delivering the spirit and beauty of Americas national parks as the antidote to the wired world of work-life.
Vivid national park artwork, vintage collectibles from the 1930s, limited edition sculptures, home furnishings and hundreds of other upscale national parks products fill the only catalog that celebrates the parks and raises additional funding for them.
"The more stress and pressure our 24/7 high speed connected world brings, the more time we need to spend in the national parks connecting with the elements that fill our souls and renew our spirits," explains Joe Galliani, Founding Partner of The Parks Company.
"Most of us cant spend as much time in the parks as wed like, but you can bring the parks into your home and your life with the national park treasures and mementos weve filled our catalog with," adds Founding Partner Mike Baggetta.
The two partners who proclaim a "passion for the parks" not only created and finance The Parks Company, they travel across America, from park to park searching for the unique, high quality products that fill their catalog and web site.
You wont find any rubber tomahawks or plastic souvenir key chains in The Parks Company National Park Catalog. You will find a collection of merchandise that reflects Galliani and Baggettas love for the designs and quality of what they call "The Golden Era of the Parks."
Inside the pages of their catalog youll find hand silk-screened posters originally produced by WPA artists in the 1930s faithfully and authentically reproduced, vintage national park post cards printed half a century ago framed and matted with sculpted bronze medallions, and sterling silver national park charm bracelets like mom wore as a little girl handmade by artists.
Other offerings include Pendleton Woolen Mills national park blankets and classics for kids like National Park Edition Monopoly and 3-D View-Masters.
"We created our catalog because we couldnt find this kind of high quality, art based national park merchandise anywhere else," says Galliani. "We have a commitment to Only The Best when it comes to products that represent the national parks and the care and attention the parks themselves get."
To care for the national parks, The Parks Company voluntarily donates 5% of the gross profits from every item it sells back to the parks through nonprofit support groups that work to improve and maintain their parks.
The Parks Companys Third Edition National Park Catalog is available in its entirety at www.theparksco.com and free through the mail via either a web request or by calling, toll free 888-727-5726.
