Friends
of The Virgin Islands Seminars for 2000
Each year the Friends of the Park offer a series
of seminars, beginning in December and running
through May. These seminars are intended to educate
and inform visitors to St. John as well as island residents
about the natural and cultural resources of this unique
area. Seminar leaders are acknowledged experts in their
respective fields. To participate, you will need to
reserve a place in advance. Class sizes are limited.

We will reserve your place but we must receive your
check or credit card information (Visa, MasterCard,
or Amex) within two weeks or not less than one week
prior to the seminar, whichever is sooner.
Sequoia
Natural History Association Learning Adventures
The Sequoia NHA offers a wide variety of field
seminars in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National
Parks. Capture the beauty of nature through photography
and writing, or explore the High Sierra Trail on a guided

Field Seminars 2000 by the Yosemite Association
You're invited to enjoy an informative and fun vacation
with Yosemite
Field Seminars, sponsored by the Yosemite
Association. This award-winning program has grown steadily
since its inception in 1971, reflecting the public's
continuing interest in quality outdoor education. Seminars
are intended to offer educational experiences that stimulate
and refresh the mind, body, and spirit. Seminars are
open to the public and present college-level material
for adults who are physically capable to do any required
hiking. Teenagers (ages sixteen and up) may enroll in
specified courses if accompanied by an adult. Call our

The Institute is a year-round educational field program
offering a series of short courses in natural history,
cultural history, and humanities topics where people
learn about and experience the wild, natural wonders
of Yellowstone. It is sponsored by The Yellowstone Association,
a non-profit, tax-exempt membership organization in
cooperation with the National Park Service.
